Kees Ploegsma, Executive Advisor to the Board, World Golf Championship for Footballers™ Tournament 2010 says interest in the World Golf Championship for Footballers is already high.
Ploegsma, main liaison with prospective participants at the inaugural World Golf Championship for Footballers, has reported that interest in the tournament, to be held in 2010, is already high. 
Ploegsma: 'I'm dealing with international football players each and every day and it strikes me how enthusiastic, no fanatical, they are about the game of golf. Since my first meetings with the team at WGF - Marketing Lda, I have spoken with so many footballers and coaches that it seems everybody is really excited by the prospect of playing in the event.....worldwide! Our biggest problem now is short-listing which players will be selected to represent their countries at the World Golf Championship for Footballers™ tournament in 2010; interest is incredible but places are, of course, limited.”
