Golf and football are without doubt the two most popular sports in the world today. The World Golf Championship for Footballers™, which will be held in June 2010, will bring these two sporting worlds together in the form of a spectacular, televised competition, staged on one of the world's most beautiful and challenging golf courses.

The Event itself will be managed by 'The PGAs of Europe', which will not only ensure the highest level of professional execution but also an exciting and highly competitive contest. A two day, star-studded Pro-Celebrity competition, will open the proceedings, with the main two-day Championship Tournament will be held on the subsequent days.

The Tournament field will consist of ten to fifteen of four players. The players will all come from the world of football and will be renowned for their prowess either as a player or a coach. The World Golf Championship for Footballers™ trophies will be awarded to the best individual player and the winning team, the latter gaining automatic qualification to the 2010 tournament.
